Distortion of Beauty

"Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."

Wow, that video has a powerful effect. I do worry about my girls. I tell them all the time that they're beautiful just as God made them!

I had seen this one before. It is so powerful. I was just telling dh that I had been trying to relax and watch tv this week. Pregnancy is making me take mini relaxing breaks. Anyway, the stuff on tv today is pure rubbish. It is mostly half naked boys and girls doing really stupid immoral things. It is so sad. The media has completley distorted everything from true beauty to relationships. I think it happens so often now that most do not even pay any attention to it.

JCITM: I watched a lot of TV when I was pregnant (I was too ill to do anything else for a while) and I totally agree that most of it is complete junk.

It's shocking the messages the media sends out to women (and men for that matter).

Great video. Had my daughter watch it as PROOF that models really do look just like everyone else when you remove all the make-up, airburshing and photoshop work.

Thanks for posting.
