I'm amazed such open racism still exists. But, like you said, it must be hard to forget it if that is what you have been taught. I don't blame the "black friends" of that family for not wanting to go there.<br /><br />Also, most visitors to our country are totally amazed at how far apart everything is, making it virtually impossible to have public transportation, and making it a necessity for everybody to have a car.<br /><br />As human beings, we all assume that every place is like the place where WE live.
