My Web Wanderings (weekly)

  • So apparently feeding your baby healthy food will give them anorexia and the best thing is to feed them junk food?

    • A 68-strong team of medics delivered Leanne’s triplets last year,
      costing the NHS £200,000.

She now dresses them just one day a week when she goes out to collect her dole
      money.

The tots eat 1,249 calories a day instead of the 765 recommended for their
      17lb weight.

    • I see no harm in letting them have a few bits of my
      takeaways too.
    • She added: “Anyway they don’t always have junk food —
sometimes I cook a microwave meal. My babies are healthy.”
    • Her takeaways confession comes as figures show a shocking one in five
children are raised on little but junk food.

The Infant and Toddler Forum poll also discovered that 65 per cent of mums NEVER
      cook meals from scratch.

Leanne said she also feeds her kids milk, scrambled eggs on toast and instant
      mashed potato with spaghetti hoops.

She told Closer magazine: “I feed my babies vegetables every Sunday,
and a lot of the baby food has fruit in it.”

    • Leanne steers away from healthy foods in case it makes her tots anorexic. She
said: “I don’t want them to think they have to watch what
they eat. I’ll tell them big is beautiful.”
  • Certainly food for thought.

    • Another moment brought to you by abortion...

Today at around 3:08 PM in Florida, you would have found me pulled over on the side of the road with my face buried in my hands as I gasped for oxygen and very audibly sobbed, because my very challenging son, who was diagnosed with autism at 8 and who had just had yet another public episode, innocently asked me if I wished I would have aborted him.

I was not prepared for this question. It felt like the whole of my viscera had been pulled through my navel in one neat tug, and I started weeping inconsolably. Not because there was any truth to his statement, but because I killed his brother or sister, my first child, in a second trimester abortion.

I was crying, my startled four-year-old was crying, my son was confused...

This is where we are 12 years later.

      Abortion is forever.

    • Myah and Faith are under attack. She is experiencing the evil side of the internet, and was getting such horrible messages that she had to delete her email account, then delete her Facebook account. I can't imagine getting messages day after day wishing my child dead or worse, but that is what she is going through.

*LOL*

Well, at least in her condition she's able to fit all three of the kids on her lap.. that's worth something ;)

It's a sad truth though, that most kids will eat nothing but junk food these days.. Have you seen 'jamie olivers school dinners'? I never knew it was so true until we invited some kids from church over (lots of times now).. they will practically eat nothing but junk....

I don't know how ALL these parents can fall for it, I really don't.. :S

Greetings from the netherlands!

I think there are quite a few American children raised on junk food too! A few years ago, one of my friends had a 3 yo son. He would ONLY eat ramen noodles, Chicken McNuggets, or Fruit Loops so that's all she fed him!
